Storage Hill

Faber-Castel pastel pencils9x12This is the hill on which I would park my car and watch the road below. I spent a decade of my life loving that spot as a teenager and in to adulthood. I drew this as a farewell to it before I moved away from that city for the last time. It was hard for me to just "let the drawing flow" as in, no measurements or pre-sketching. I just drew what was before me.
